Melissa Corbett, P.E. - President
As its founder and President, Melissa is the heart and soul of MilCor. She has 24 years of experience in all aspects of civil engineering including overall project management and coordination of projects, feasibility analyses, computer modeling, planning, design, permitting, preparation of reports, preparation of project manuals an cost estimates for water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, storm water, and biosolids systems. Melissa has also been the recipient of several environmental stewardship swards and is an advocate of environmentally sustainable designs.
kenneth rau, p.e. - senior engineer
Kenneth has over 11 years experience in civil engineering land development including site analysis, design, permitting, and construction with particular emphasis in stormwater management and water resource projects. He has an eye for detail and is a vital component of MilCor's quality assurance program. During his career, he has brought to completion numerous residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
alex travato - engineering deSIgner
For the last 31 years, Alex has worked in all aspects of surveying and civil engineering - from rod man on up to Civil Designer. He and Melissa have worked together for over 21 of those 31 years. His area of expertise is roadway design and utilities coordination. Alex has worked closely with both CSX and FEC Railways on a number of roadway construction projects. He received an award from the City of Stuart for his participation in the Sailfish Circle design and project management.
kim little - oFFICE MANAGER & permitting expediter
Kim has worked in permit management of civil engineering land development projects for over 13 years. Her position entails all aspects of project permitting through local, county, state, and federal regulatory agencies from initial strategic planning, quality control of submittals, approval, construction certification, and compliance documentation. Kim specializes in proactive coordination with all agencies and team members to ensure project permitting schedules and budgets are met.
Ryan Huff, P.E. - Project Engineer
Ryan's background is unique as he was a master carpenter before he returned to school and received his degree in Environmental Engineering. He has 5+ years experience in a wide range of civil engineering and land development projects and specializes in water and wastewater collection systems, as well as environmentally sensitive projects. Ryan recently obtained his P.E. license, passing the exam on his first try!
dan woolard - autocad designer
Dan has 13 years experience in drafting and design including utility coordination, stormwater management systems, water and wastewater systems, roadway design, traffic calming, quantity take-offs, cost estimating, and civil-site development, all of which have been with Melissa and Alex. He specializes in retrofit / redevelopment projects wherein the new project must interconnect with existing infrastructure. Dan is also our in-house IT expert.
bill hachmeister - marketing services
Bill's position as marketing coordinator utilizes his 23 years of experience in customer service. Bill's role is to develop strategies for promotion of the firm, then move forward with the implementation, and assessment of the success of the marketing campaigns. Part of his assessment includes determining client experience and overall satisfaction with our team, and competitor awareness. He is also responsible for helping Melissa keep the office moving forward in a positive direction.
rob corbett - construction inspector
Rob worked in surveying for 8 years before joining the MilCor team. This survey background and keen eye for drainage and other natural resource constrains, gives Rob a unique perspective during due diligence reviews. He has a thorough knowledge and understanding of construction methodologies, and the different codes that govern the construction. Nobody can spot an ADA issue quicker than Rob! As our construction inspector, he is responsible for coordinating between contractors and the engineering team members during construction. He is an NPDES-Certified Stormwater Inspector.
Zac Larsen - construction inspector
Zac brings years of ranch/agricultural operations/heavy equipment experience to MilCor. He is a mechanic and also has invasive/exotic removal experience wotking for NRCS. This background gives him a unique perspective as a construction inspector and has provided him with excellent problem solving skills. His experience was invaluable during the construction of the Caulkins Water Farm. Zac is also an NPDES-Certified Stormwater Inspector.
